  • Hello and welcome to Rivals Corner!

First of all thank you for visiting our small hobby store!
Rivals Corner was founded for a love of all things Japanese and more importantly, a passion and nostalgia for the 90's and retro anime. We wanted the store and its logo to capture the feel of a Konbini[コンビニ] /convenience store from Japan, while utilising bold letters and familiar colours of a certain popular mecha ;)
We know there are a lot of other great stores out there and more established but our goal will be to open the first specialised hobby store for Japanese model kits in London. It may take some time, but hopefully with enough dedication, patience, some support from the community and let’s face it, da monies, we’ll be able to reach our goal and continue to serve a growing community of passionate fans and newcomers alike.
For now we're primarily stocking Gunpla but we will grow our collection to other model kits and series in the future!
If you'd like to request for a specific product, feel free to drop us a line and we'll see if we can find it and stock it in our store!
We hope you enjoy our website and come back again to support our small business.

Psst! If you'd like to find out more about the name, why not head over to our About Us page ;)

Frequently Asked Questions

We are a London based online only store!

However, if you'd like to visit, drop us a message and we can figure something out :)

We're not really sure ourselves to be honest but it's our DREAM of owning a small store tucked away in a corner of London somewhere.

Just waiting for the planets and space colonies to allign for us...

A question we get asked A LOT! The short answer is no, however it is something we are looking into.

Shipping internationally bears a much higher cost for both us and the customer so we have to tread carefully how we go about this. In order for this to work including you, the customer, we need a high volume of orders each month to get a cheaper shipping rate from a courier.

However there are other complicated factors to consider - for example, we'd have to invest in stronger packing material (and believe us boxes aren't cheap) as packages will need to endure the journey to their destination across the world. But more expensive packing materials = higher shipping cost to cover for these expenses.

And then there are custom duties and taxes. In the unlikely case this happens, unfortunately that's something you, the customer, would have to pay for.

Large companies may offer worldwide shipping at a lower cost due to a natural high volume of orders, we however, a home-run small business, would need to consider a much more careful approach.

It's a complicated decision to make however we are looking into it, and if we go ahead then we'll slowly roll it out to local countries first before shipping globally.
