Bandai has announced a new trading card game called Gundam Card Game (GCG). During the BANDAI CARD GAME Next Plan Presentation, it was revealed that the card game will be available worldwide in Japanese, Chinese and English in 2025. A trailer showcasing the cards in action, has also been released, which shows fans of Gundam (and Gunpla) coming together to play, ultimately ending up in a tournament stage surrounded by other fans.
Along with the trailer, an official website was launched, where you can learn how to play, stay up to date with the latest news, card releases and events. And that’s not all, for those eager to get their hands on the cards earlier there is a Beta Edition of the card game, due for release end of 2024. Available only in the US, there are 3 ways to acquire the Beta Edition; at Bandai Card Games Fests, Participating Bandai selected stores and Premium Bandai USA (although now sold out!).
The Beta Edition of the card game will release on December 7th 2024, retail for $69.99 and consist of x16 Booster Packs (x9 cards per pack), x1 Legend Rare Card, x1 Card Set (x56 cards), x2 Rule/Playsheets, x6 Dice Damage Counters.
It will contain everything you need to start playing the game and will feature series from Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED, Gundam Unicorn and The Witch From Mercury.
